Update from Anthony Joseph, who identifies three spots that Celtic needs to upgrade for team boost

Anthony Joseph has identified three positions that Celtic are trying to bolster before the transfer market ends, following the company’s 16-day wait to recruit another winger.

Although it is more than halfway through the transfer season, it appears like loan deals may be more likely to go through than permanent moves. A striker and left back are reportedly the key areas.

The addition of Kuhn raises serious concerns about recruitment considering that Marco Tilio, Luis Palma, and Yang Hyun-jun all inked long-term contracts in the summer.

In the home games against Buckie Thistle and Ross County, Kuhn will have the opportunity to further his claims because two of those wingers are serving at the Asian Cup.
First-choice choices at left-back and striker are Greg Taylor and Kyogo Furuhashi, but there aren’t many options behind them, particularly at the back where Alexandro Bernabei hasn’t started a game and wasn’t included in the Champions League squad.

It will be difficult to find a good striker to support Kyogo; if someone can surpass the former Vissel Kobe striker, the price tag might approach £10 million. Celtic’s record-breaking £9 million was spent for Odsonne Edouard in the summer of 2018.
