“Outstanding” £12 million player now to sign with Rangers.

David Jurasek, a left back for Benfica, is reportedly eager to transfer to Ibrox, so Rangers could have a genuine opportunity to get him.

It’s nearly impossible to keep up with the number of left backs Rangers have been connected to recently.

The likes of Bristol City’s Cameron Pring and Eredivisie left backs Gijs Smal and Fredrik Oppegard have been touted.
Since Kai Wagner decided to stay with Philadelphia Union, one rumored target is no longer in the running.

Next is Benfica’s ace. According to sources, Rangers is in competition with Bundesliga clubs to sign David Jurasek.
David Jurasek is considering joining Rangers from Benfica.
Jurasek only signed a €14 million (£12 million) agreement with Benfica during the summer after making an impression with Slavia Prague.

The 25-year-old hasn’t exactly made an impression for Benfica, though, and the Portuguese powerhouses have now added Alvaro Fernandez from Manchester United as a left back.

That might make it possible for Jurasek to depart, and according to TEAMtalk, he’s considering moving to Glasgow.
Jurasek was reportedly the target of a bid from an unidentified Bundesliga team, but Rangers “put a good offer on the table” to sign the Czech international.
Rangers are believed to be in an excellent position to win the battle for Jurasek, and it is encouraging that he is eager to transfer to Ibrox.

With 14 assists in 55 games for Slavia, Jurasek—hailed as a “extraordinary player” by his former Slavia manager Jindřich Trpišovský—was simply amazing.
The switch to Benfica may not have paid off thus far, but Philippe Clement would have a strong left back alternative at Rangers, even if he were to stay on loan.

Borna Barisic’s contract expires at the end of the current campaign, and Ridvan Yilmaz is still being connected to teams other than Rangers.
Jurasek seems to be a top priority, but there other Bundesliga clubs out there, so this is by no means a done deal.
