Brendan Rodgers reveals how to use their new signing , Nicolas Kuhn to raise celtic

Brendan Rodgers has expressed his delight at the arrival of Nicolas Kuhn from Rapid Vienna who became Celtic’s first January signing.

The Celtic boss labelled the 24-year-old as a ‘dynamic’ player with ‘great pace’ and perhaps hinted at how he might be used.

As the fans well know, the team is pretty stacked in the wide areas and you would assume something will have to give somewhere, regarding players leaving.

But one thing is for sure, there are now many players who can produce the goods on either flank and you can add Nicolas Kuhn’s name to that list – The German reacted on Instagram to his move to Parkhead.

Brendan Rodgers stated that he is someone who has a ‘real attacking intent’ and can ‘play wide on both sides’, as he told the club’s official website.

Brendan Rodgers highlights Nicolas Kuhn’s qualities

“We are delighted to welcome Nicolas to Celtic,” said Rodgers.

“We believe he is a dynamic player who has an excellent level of quality and all the attributes to fit well into our style of play.

He has the profile we are looking for, he has a real attacking intent, a player with great pace and ideas, the ability to create and score goals and a player with a great energy and work ethic.

“He is someone who can play wide on both sides so he brings with him that versatility for us too, and myself and the coaches here really look forward to working with him.”

The rest of the January transfer window

With one new face through the doors, fans will be wondering who else will be signed before the window slams shut.

The fact that a winger has been added, you question if another attack-minded player will now arrive.

Perhaps bulking up at the back is an option, looking for that long-term goalkeeper or, as Neil Lennon said, signing a much-needed defensive-minded midfielder.

Of course, all of this doesn’t just need to be done this month, but going forward as well, with Rodgers starting to put his own stamp on the team again.
