Rangers still want to seal £5m transfer as Marko Bulat update drops at Ibrox

The newspaper revealed on their website on January 14 that the midfield player, who is valued at £5 million, is still on Ibrox’s short list after making an approach last month, indicating that a transfer may still be imminent.
Prior to the January transfer window, the team started laying the groundwork for a move for the 22-year-old Croatian, and Bulat is supposedly still a going worry.
Since the transfer window began, strikers and left backs have received the most attention at Ibrox; nevertheless, Philippe Clement was experiencing a midfield selection dilemma just a few weeks ago, so that seems to be part of the plan as well.

Any arrival could be more likely in a loan-to-buy arrangement because it would be remarkable if Rangers had millions to spend on a player at the position in the middle of the season.
The management may be interested in adding another midfield player due to Jose Cifuentes’ difficulties since joining in the summer.

Numerous other alternatives have been hindered by injury concerns; Ryan Jack, for example, has struggled to stay fit almost as much as Kemar Roofe, while Tom Lawrence and, to a lesser extent, Kieran Dowell, have also had bad luck since moving to Glasgow from Norwich and Derby County, respectively.
Although there are more players in the team, Clement has still had to turn to full-back Dujon Sterling, who has performed admirably, during his tenure as manager. Nico Raskin has only recently returned from an extended layoff.

Bulat’s contract expires in 2027, so there aren’t many years left on it, so he won’t be cheap, but he has been in and out of the Dynamo Zagreb team this season, so he might be available.

The goal-scoring positions will undoubtedly need to receive any available funds, and any funds from the potential sale of Ridvan Yilmaz will likely need to be used to find a replacement. As for midfield this month, it remains to be seen what can be accomplished outside of those two areas.
