Rangers ready offer to sign Bristol City left-back Cameron Pring as Ibrox transfer decision to be made

With Rangers having to replace the left-back position, the Sun journalist revealed via his Patreon on January 14 that the Scottish powerhouses are preparing a deal for the Championship player this January. The defender, who recently faced players like Jarrod Bowen of West Ham in the FA Cup, is regarded as one of the greatest in his position in the second division of English football.
“As they search for a replacement, the Rangers are keeping an eye on Bristol City left-back Cameron Pring,” Nixon writes.

“The Glasgow giants are debating whether to make an offer in the window for Purn, who is among the better number threes in the Championship.”

Since taking over as manager in October, Clement has made it obvious that he wants a new left-back. Borna Barisic and Ridvan Yilmaz have not impressed the Belgian.

Yilmaz signed a five-year contract at Ibrox after completing a £3.4 million move from Besiktas in July 2022, but he may already be leaving despite the fact that the former has been filling in more frequently in defense, according to Sky Sports.
Pring, a fine servant of the Robins since 2017, has amassed 98 games in the Championship, including numerous loan stints. He has also assisted Bristol City in finishing in the middle of the league for multiple seasons.

His attacking production is demonstrated by his two goals and nine assists, which will be of interest to Clement as he aims to adopt a far more attacking style of play than either Barisic or Yilmaz can provide.

If the transfer is to take place in January, Pring may need to be paid a significant sum of money to be lured away from the English team. However, Rangers may decide to hold off until the player becomes available on a free transfer as his contract extension is set to expire at the end of the current campaign, according to BBC Sport.
