As of this writing, Celtic had not added to their roster during the formal opening of the January transfer market, which began last week.

Nat Phillips returned to Liverpool after his loan at Parkhead ended, and Brendan Rodgers has already seen that. It is unclear if the team would try to recruit a replacement for the English fighter.

Since the market opened and in the lead-up to this month, the Hoops have been connected to a number of players. It will be interesting to watch how busy the Glasgow giants are in February.

Here is a hypothetical Celtic starting lineup that might be assembled following the January transfer window, which could include up to three new players, in order to help Rodgers win the Scottish Premiership over the coming months.
After the summer transfer market closed in September 2023, The Sun revealed that Rodgers was still interested in signing Caoimhin Kelleher from Liverpool to be his long-term number one.

Although he hasn’t had many chances to shine at Anfield recently, his EFL Cup exploits indicate that the 6′ 2″ behemoth has what it takes to be a formidable player for the Hornets.

In his two competition appearances last season, Kelleher stopped 73% of the shots that were directed at his goal. In the 2021–2022 season, he made four appearances in the League Cup, recording an incredible 84% success percentage in saves.
