Thursday Celtic transfer bulletin: Nicolas Kuhn, Gustaf Lagerbielke & Tiago Araujo

Eleven days into the market, something that seems to be a real transfer link with Celtic has finally surfaced. Nicolas Kuhn, a winger for Rapid Vienna, is on Brendan Rodgers’ wish list this month and may be the first player to officially join the team. In the meantime, Gustaf Lagerbielke might be going on loan to Serie A, and it’s unlikely that Celtic will pursue Tiago Araujo further. This is the most recent round-up of Celtic transfers.

As Brendan Rodgers looks to expand his options on the flank for the Premiership title run-in, Celtic is pursuing Nicolas Kuhn. Football Scotland reports that the Hoops first submitted an offer to Rapid Vienna for the versatile German, but the deal was rejected.

It’s reported that the Austrians are holding out for about £2 million for Kuhn, and Celtic is anticipated to return to the negotiating table with a more competitive offer.
Kuhn is likely to leave Vienna this month; Football Scotland has revealed that the team is actively looking for a successor for the 24-year-old.

Kuhn has helped Vienna score 10 goals this season across all competitions (three goals and seven assists). We have been informed on Gustaf Lagerbielke’s condition by Calciomercato, as it appears that the Celtic defender will be going out on loan this month.

At Parkhead, the £3 million summer acquisition from IF Elfsborg hasn’t exactly ignited the heather, and Rodgers is obviously not the biggest fan.
