Rangers player makes transfer stance very clear – Has high ambitions for next move, been scouted a few times

Amidst rumors that the Rangers are considering signing Verona’s Josh Doig, there’s also the speculation that Ridvan Yilmaz may be heading out of Ibrox soon.

This is because, under Philippe Clément, he hasn’t been playing as much as he would have liked to. The 22-year-old is looking to transfer elsewhere in order to gain more playing time.

For the January transfer window, Galatasaray has reportedly expressed interest in the left-back, but Sports Digitale journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu thinks the Rangers star has his sights set on another move.
He adds that the defender’s entourage was contacted “directly” by the Turkish club to inquire about the terms of a move, including where it would take place and if he would like to go to Istanbul.
Although an offer was made and the opinion “was taken,” Yilmaz’s first course of action is “not to return to Turkey,” according to Sabuncuoğlu.
Actually, Verona is one of the “two teams” in Europe that Rangers are “in contact with.” They attended his previous three games in person and provided “positive reports” during that time.

Yilmaz wants to join a squad that will allow him to “play regularly,” ideally one that is in the top five leagues.

If that didn’t work out, though, he could then focus on Galatasaray or any other clubs in his native nation who might be considering signing him.

To put it briefly, Yilmaz is prioritizing a move to Italy, where Verona wants him, if he leaves Rangers, and he may move to Turkey if it doesn’t work out.
