Fiji rugby player Api Ratuniyarawa jailed in UK for sexual assault

Api Ratuniyarawa, a rugby player for Fiji, was sentenced to prison on Tuesday for his sexual assault of three women in Cardiff, UK, according to local media. The 37-year-old admitted to the attacks that happened between October 31 and November 2 of last year, and Cardiff Crown Court jailed him to two years and ten months.

On November 4, Ratuniyarawa—who has more than 30 caps for Fiji—was in the capital of Wales to represent the Barbarians against the Welsh.

The lock, who has also played in France and for Northampton Saints, will spend the next ten years as a registered sex offender and will be required to serve up to half of his term in jail before being granted a license.
