Doctor issues ‘Red Flags’ claim on medical of new left-back amid Rangers transfer development

The injury expert has discussed an injury he sustained in September 2023 and stated that, even though there might not be any concerns during the medical examination, it’s still advisable to use caution.

The 21-year-old is expected to transfer to Ibrox given the uncertainty surrounding Ridvan Yilmaz’s future, according to Daily Record.

Physical therapist and sports scientist Brar spoke exclusively with Ibrox News about his circumstances. He said:

Because football puts a lot of strain on the foot and ankle, ankle injuries can be difficult to treat. I’m not sure if this raises any warning flags before a medical examination.

He suffered deformation trauma to his right ankle in September of last year, resulting in injury to the anterior talar peroneus ligament.

“The club will undoubtedly evaluate his past injuries before searching for any trends.”

If Yilmaz does wind up departing in January, Rangers will need to sign a new left-back.
The club has hired Philippe Clement and Fabio Silva so far, but they will undoubtedly want additional people to come through the door before the window shuts.

Doig is connected to a number of teams, so the Gers will need to move quickly to get him.
