Sam Lammers completes Rangers loan transfer exit as Utrecht offer Ibrox misfit chance of career lifeline

The 26-year-old is returning home after a difficult first half of the Glasgow season.A disastrous half-season at Rangers has come to an end with Sam Lammers signing a one-year loan with Utrecht until the end of the campaign.

Michael Beale

acquired the former PSV attacker from Atalanta in the summer for an estimated cost of £3.5 million. After spending a significant amount of money on him, punters and commentators were aware of Lammers’ poor shooting percentage. Before the winter break, Lammers managed just two goals and two assists.

However, as he returns to the Eredvisie at Utrecht, where he has playe for Heerenveen in the past, he will no longer be included in Philippe Clement’s plans. “We welcome a driven striker in Sam,” Jordy Zuidam, technical director of Utrecht, stated. We can utilize some of his unique abilities on the squad. He can be deployed right away, has recent international experience, and is well-versed in the Eredivisie. Sam is someone we are glad he choose for us, and we will have him for the remainder of the season.
