‘Concrete’ update emerges as Rangers want to sign Michy Batshuayi from Fenerbahce in January

The dependable Belgian journalist claims, in a post on his personal Twitter account dated January 10, that the player has been added to the Ibrox club’s list of targets after being offered to them.
His £58k weekly salary is considered “very high” for a Scottish club, thus the club hasn’t moved forward with a deal yet. As a result, the transfer is still pending.

He stated, “There has been a lot of interest in Michy Batshuayi this [winter].”

The guy was suggested to Rangers FC, who added him to their roster, but since Scottish clubs pay astronomically high rates, there is currently no firm plan to move further.

“The Belgium striker is paid €3.5 million (£3 million per year – / £58k per week) at Fenerbahce, so.
Without a question, Batshuayi would be the Rangers team’s top striker—by a significant margin, too—had he signed with the team.

The forward’s track record speaks for itself; he has scored goals everywhere he has played, particularly for Belgium on the international stage.
However, given the hefty pay, one must exercise caution. Considering that Danilo, Cyriel Dessers, Kemar Roofe, and now Fabio Silva are all employed, this would have to make sense.

It would absolutely be possible, and he could make all the difference in a close fight for the championship, if the player was prepared to accept a pay reduction or if Fenerbahce was willing to cover a portion of the player’s salary during a loan.

But as of right now, it appears more like agents at work and a pipe dream than something that will actually happen this month, so if Rangers want to add another forward to the team, they’ll probably have to seek elsewhere.
