Plymouth isn’t the only team interested in Gelhardt; according to Simon Jones’ Transfer Confidential piece for the Daily Mail, Celtic and Rangers, two of the biggest teams in the Scottish Premiership, are also interested. This season, Gelhardt has made just eight appearances for Leeds, and his lone goal came in the Carabao Cup victory over Shrewsbury Town, 2-1. He hasn’t featured since the middle of December, having only played five minutes of football against Peterborough United last weekend.

After losing two of its most important players, Plymouth is looking for offensive reinforcements. Luke Cundle and Finn Azaz were plucked from their loans by Aston Villa and sent to Middlesbrough and Stoke City, respectively. Regarding North End’s position on the subject, unless there are outgoings, not much business needs to be done at Deepdale. Ryan Lowe’s financial situation has not improved since the summer transfer window’s transactions.

In other news, it is untrue that Bolton Wanderers were considering Josh Onomah, despite reports to the contrary. After leaving North End, Onomah became a free agent. While he was rumored to be joining the League One team, The Bolton News claims that they are not considering signing him.

After spending six months with North End, Onomah was in talks to stay with the team, but those talks fell through. Despite Sheffield Wednesday’s interest and a trial session with Stoke City, he has been without a club for six months.
