WHAT HAPPENED TO…LOGAN BAILLY?

LOGAN BAILLY was a low-key £250,000 signing in July 2015 as back-up keeper to Craig Gordon.

With the departure of Poland’s top goalie Lukasz Zaluska, Scotland international Ronny Deila was looking for a replacement.

After catching the Norwegian’s attention, Oh Leuven, a Belgian team, duly signed Bailly. Due to Gordon’s exceptional play and incredible recovery from his career-threatening injury, first-team opportunities were scarce.
After Brendan Rodgers replaced Deila in the dugout, the Belgian, who had only made three starts in the top side, was leaving through the Parkhead exit.

In July 2017, Bailly was freed after the Irishman brought in his former Swansea City shotstopper, Dorus de Vries.

To finish his career at Mouscron, he went back to his native country.

Bailly said, “My two seasons at the club were pure pleasure,” in reflection later in life. The best team I have ever played for is Celtic.
