Aberdeen braced for bids for £5m-rated Celtic target

has been strongly linked to a move to Celtic in recent weeks, but a number of other teams, notably Southampton, have also expressed interest.

Sky Sports reports that the North East team is expecting offers this January that might total up to £5 million. Though the former MTK Budapest striker has 15 goals this season in all competitions, the Pittodrie club has received expressions of interest from throughout Europe.

Oh and Daizen Maeda, Celtic’s two attacking alternatives, will be absent due to the Asia Cup, therefore Brendan Rodgers is anticipated to raid the transfer market to add quality players to his team. In order to secure a great second half of the season and to deliver success the next year, the manager is keen for that quality to join the team.

In 69 games since joining Aberdeen, Miovski has contributed six assists and 31 goals for the Granite City team. He is obviously someone who might be a significant player in the future, especially considering his age. The manager may rethink his choices if the Dons ask for as much as £5 million to trade Miovski, since Celtic is also interested in Brondby forward Mathias Kvistgaarden.
