Elite Player Pathway to prepare next wave of talent

For the next year, the Fiji Rugby High Performance Elite Player Pathway is ready to receive a fresh group of entrants.

This week, players participated in a two-day camp that acted as an administrative checkpoint as the academy got ready for off-season training and preparation.

The academy’s success is largely attributed to Bill Gadolo, Performance Manager of Elite Pathways, who stated that the two-day program is designed to set the foundation for athletes’ well-being.

“It’s imperative that we clear the administrative hurdles because the academy serves as the foundation program for our national teams,” Gadolo stated.

“The two-day camp is crucial to making sure we’ve covered all the bases and have everything organized, which sets the stage for a well-planned off-season.”

“The primary objective of the Elite Player Pathway Academy has been to develop outstanding talent that can be incorporated into the national teams for more than eight years,” Gadolo continued.

“The academy aims to produce players of exceptional caliber, whether they play for the men’s 7s, the Flying Fijians, or the Drua.” Furthermore, the emphasis is on helping the Fijiana 15s and Fijiana 7s programs succeed, as well as the women’s game, he added.

Fiji Rugby is looking forward to the emergence of a new generation of players who will represent Fiji on the international rugby arena as the program’s Elite Player Pathway prepares for another year of talent development.
