Kyogo Will Be Key But He’s Not at His Best Says Sutton

Celtic are ready for the season’s second Glasgow derby. The countdown to kickoff has already begun, and Chris Sutton has identified a player who will be crucial to the outcome.

Kyogo Celtic
Although his recent record has been deceiving, the Englishman believes Hoops forward Kyogo will be crucial in the match: “Kyogo Furuhashi is going to be key, and it’s up to Celtic to find a way to give their top gun chances,” he stated (RecordSport). “It doesn’t take a brain surgeon to figure out that Kyogo isn’t at the pinnacle of his abilities.” It was just had to look at the one great chance he had against Dundee at Dens Park to see that.”
Sutton is correct in his assessment that the Japanese internationalist is misfiring. Two goals since the beginning of November are disappointing, but the commentator believes he isn’t getting enough service. “He’s not hiding,” Sutton added. He’s making runs, trying to get in behind, and making things happen. It’s just that the supply isn’t consistent.”

There is no disputing that if Celtic can get Kyogo the ball in the derby, he might easily score numerous goals. At the moment, however, he appears to be a player lacking in confidence.

This has no bearing on his quality, which is excellent. It’s important to remember what the 28-year-old is capable of, and how his strike decided the last Glasgow derby.

The centre-forward finished with venom into the bottom corner in a 1-0 win at Ibrox, and it is likely that supporters would accept a similar outcome at Parkhead. That is, however, easier said than done.
