Brendan Rodgers confirms bad news for Celtic before Glasgow Derby

Due to a hamstring injury, Cameron Carter-Vickers will be absent from tomorrow’s Glasgow Derby. The American international center back pulled up on Boxing Day with a hamstring issue, and Brendan Rodgers announced that he would miss the match at Celtic Park.

In their second meeting of the season, the Scottish Champions take on Rangers, meaning that Celtic will have to defeat the Ibrox club without CCV once more. Liel Abada and Reo Hatate will be available to Rodgers, which is helpful, but it’s probable that they will start from the bench.

With Stephen Welsh most likely to enter the defense, Rodgers will now have to rely on his group. There will be inquiries, nevertheless, as to why Maik Nawrocki or Gustaf Lagerbielke were left out of the discussion over Liam Scales’ defence.
