Kenny Miller ‘expects’ Rangers transfer interest in Liverpool wonderkid

Kenny Miller believes both Rangers and Celtic will keep an eye on Liverpool full-back Owen Beck.

The 21-year-old signed a season-long loan with Dundee in July and has already shown to be a fantastic find for boss Tony Docherty.

Beck has made 19 appearances so far and is doing everything he can to win a future place in Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool plans. Given the current left-back injury crisis at Anfield, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Beck recalled sooner rather than later.

His contract with Liverpool expires at the end of the season, therefore Rangers could make a pre-contract move in January if they were interested.

Rangers need to improve at left-back, and Beck could fit the bill in the long run. On Boxing Day, Miller said on BBC Sportsound that he was looking forward to watching Beck play for Dundee versus Celtic.

The former Rangers striker then said that Gers could consider Beck as a potential transfer target owing to his ‘excellent’ 2023/24 season thus far.

“I think (Tony Docherty) has been quite brave when you look at some of his team selections,” Kenny Miller stated. Look at their midfield, they have Luke McCowan and Lyall Cameron, both of whom are attacking players. McCowan is one of my favorite actors. He’s arguably been their finest performer this season, in my opinion.
