John Souttar to start, return for Sam Lammers – Rangers predicted XI v Ross County

Rangers extended their unbeaten run under manager Philippe Clement with a 2-0 win over Motherwell.

Kieran Dowell and Todd Cantwell scored the goals in the Scottish Premiership match on Sunday (December 24) at Fir Park.
Clement now has the opportunity to put even more pressure on Celtic when the Gers play Ross County on Wednesday (27 December).
Given the hectic schedule, the manager may be obliged to make changes to his starting lineup, but Jack Butland is expected to remain in goal.

Captain James Tavernier is also expected to start ahead of him, with the right-back maybe joined by Ridvan Yilmaz, after Barisic did not make the matchday squad against Motherwell.

However, there could be a change at center-back, with John Souttar perhaps replacing Connor Goldson, who was helped off the field by the physio in the last minutes at Fir Park.
Given the injury problems in midfield, Leon Balogun, Kieran Dowell, and Dujon Sterling could all keep their spots.

However, more changes are possible in the future, with Rabbi Matondo possibly getting the nod over Ross McCausland on the right due to the latter’s recent success.

Abdallah Sima is expected to start on the left after being withdrawn soon after the hour mark against Motherwell, and Todd Cantwell is also expected to start.

The hectic schedule, however, may force Clement to make a change up front, with Sam Lammers perhaps replacing Cyriel Dessers, who played all 90 minutes at Fir Park.

While three points against Ross County are a necessary, the manager must also keep an eye on the highly anticipated match versus Celtic. Brendan Rodgers’ team will host the Gers at Celtic Park on Saturday (30 December) in a crucial match.
