It has been reported by The Sun and Football Insider, among other sources, that the Toffees intend to bring Holgate back to Goodison Park.

Considering that he has only appeared in five Championship games this season—a fact that will disappoint him—this news is not shocking in the slightest. The Saints have played 20 league games this season.

To be honest, Holgate isn’t winning enough first-team games at this point, and since the south coast team is still winning and trying to get promoted, it doesn’t seem likely that he will be starting again anytime soon.
