Nottingham Forest bid £7m for player the club believes can eventually replace Murillo
The transfer deadline is creeping ever closer and a new name has today been linked with a move to Nottingham Forest.
It’s been a quiet summer for Forest so far. Evangelos Marinakis does want a striker to be added to the ranks but the club are happy to wait for the right player to come in, it would seem.
Matheus Cunha has been linked with Forest. It’s claimed that the club are going to make a huge bid for his services, although, with Wolves in the midst of a relegation battle, it feels like a complex deal to complete.
Igor Jesus is another target on the list for Forest. The Reds are in discussions with Botafogo and it might take north of £30 million for Nuno Espirito Santo to land the forward.
Surprisingly, there is another name doing the rounds for Forest and it would appear as though it’s a player with one eye on the future rather than someone who might come in and make an immediate impact on the team.
Nottingham Forest want Nasser Djiga
According to Nogo Mania, Forest are considering a move to sign Crvena Zvezda central defender Djiga before the window closes.
It’s claimed that Forest might look to try and sign him with one eye on Murillo moving on in the future. However, he does operate on the right and that perhaps wouldn’t see him become a natural alternative to the Brazilian.
Djiga, 22, has been a regular in the team for the Serbian outfit this season. He helped the team qualify for the Champions League by defeating Bodo/Glimt and has made seven appearances in the group stages.
Djiga has made 55 appearances for the club in total, scoring four goals and claiming three assists, with the report claiming that Forest have started the bid at £7 million for the player valued slightly higher by his current club.
