GOOD NEWS;West Ham Management board have officially unveiled appointing club legend to replace struggling Graham Potter
Graham Potter’s future at West Ham is looking increasingly uncertain after another dismal start to the season.
The Hammers have lost four of their opening five Premier League games, with only one win to their name, and were dumped out of the EFL Cup by Wolves.
Pressure from fans has intensified, with supporters already voicing a vote of no confidence in the manager and frustration mounting over poor recruitment and lacklustre performances.
Names such as José Mourinho, Nuno Espírito Santo, and Slaven Bilić have all been mentioned as potential successors.
Now, another candidate has reportedly entered the conversation — one very familiar to West Ham fans.
West Ham Have “Discussed” Parker
That man is none other than West Ham legend Scott Parker.
The former Hammer, now manager of Burnley, made 129 appearances for the club between 2007 and 2012, winning the West Ham United Hammer of the Year award three times. He also picked up the FWA Footballer of the Year (2010/11) and England Player of the Year (2011) during his time at Upton Park.
Parker’s stock as a coach has risen in recent years. He guided Burnley back to the Premier League in record fashion, built on one of the most resilient defences in the Championship, and has overseen a strong start to life back in the top flight.
And it seems his progress has not gone unnoticed by West Ham’s hierarchy.
When Claret & Hugh asked a trusted transfer source whether Parker was a genuine option to replace Potter, the response was short but telling: “Parker has been discussed.”
While that doesn’t give away much detail, it does confirm that Parker is at least in the running — and for many fans, the idea of a club legend returning to the London Stadium could be an exciting prospect.
