Days after being released from the hospital, a Britain’s Got Talent star was discovered dead at home.

Kerri-Anne Donaldson, a talented dancer and former Britain’s Got Talent contestant, tragically passed away in June of last year at the age of 38. She was part of the dance troupe Kings and Queens, which appeared on the show in 2014. Kerri-Anne had worked with well-known figures in the dance world, including Neil and Katya Jones, and Kai Widdrington, who later joined Strictly Come Dancing.

Kerri-Anne’s passing came shortly after a brief hospital stay and a period in police custody, with details surrounding her arrest still not fully disclosed. She was found dead at her home in Farnborough, Hampshire, after being released from hospital. The cause of death was confirmed as hanging, and a full inquest into the circumstances is scheduled for the following year.

In a heart-wrenching post, her sister, Cara Donaldson, shared the profound pain of losing her sister, describing Kerri-Anne as her “best friend” and expressing the difficulty in processing such a devastating loss. “My beautiful baby sister is no longer with us and I don’t know how to process it,” she wrote.

Kerri-Anne had been open about her struggles with mental health, including feelings of self-doubt and anxiety, which she described in a candid social media post. She acknowledged the pressure to appear perfect to the outside world, despite the internal challenges she faced. Tragically, it seems she was unable to escape the dark places she spoke of, highlighting the deep vulnerability even in those who appear mentally strong.

Her death has been a devastating loss to her family, friends, and the wider dance community, as many remember her vibrant presence and talent.
