West Bromwich Albion manager Carlos Corberan has been dealt a setback as Jeremy Sarmiento could miss up to seven games due to injury.
The Ecuadorian winger, who is on loan from Brighton and reportedly earns around £15,000 per week, suffered the setback while on international duty. Initial reports suggest that Sarmiento’s absence could stretch into several weeks, potentially sidelining him for a significant portion of West Brom’s upcoming fixtures.
This injury is a blow to Corberan’s plans, as Sarmiento has shown promise since joining the squad and was expected to play a key role in West Brom’s campaign. The Baggies will now need to adjust without him, putting pressure on other squad members to step up in his absence.
