By giving Ryan Kent the opportunity to practice at Auchehowie, Rangers could entice him to battle for a return to the team.
Tam McManus holds that opinion after manager Philippe Clement acknowledged that he is a fan of the winger, who saw his lucrative contract with Fenerbahce terminated barely 16 months after leaving the Scottish Premiership. The Belgian admitted he made a move for the Liverpool academy graduate before he permanently sealed a switch to the Light Blues while he was in charge at Club Brugge – and he now has a chance to snap up the Englishman after his time in Turkey was brought to an abrupt halt.
“I think there would be a split (among the fans),” McManus said to PLZ. In the beginning, I believe he had a great run of goals versus Celtic at Parkhead. He was a complete bust with the Rangers during his final season.
Many supporters became disenchanted with him since it appeared as though he was not giving the same level of effort and performance as before. As a result, I believe that some supporters will believe that “he is better than what we have,” which is true, and that “nah” will be thought by many others because they saw him in the final year of his contract.
