Glasgow, Scotland – Celtic FC has announced the signing of highly-rated English Premier League goalkeeper, Nick Pope, from Newcastle United on a four-year deal.

The 31-year-old shot-stopper, who has made over 150 appearances in the EPL, joins the Hoops for a reported fee of £10 million.

Pope, known for his exceptional reflexes and distribution, will bring a wealth of experience and quality to Celtic’s goalkeeping department.

Manager Ange Postecoglou praised the signing, saying: “Nick is an outstanding goalkeeper who will add significant strength to our team. His EPL experience and leadership qualities will be invaluable to us.”

Pope expressed his excitement about joining Celtic, saying: “I’m thrilled to be here and can’t wait to contribute to the team’s success. Celtic’s rich history and passionate fans are a huge draw for me.”

The signing is seen as a major coup for Celtic, who have been actively strengthening their squad this summer.
