Celtic fringe goalkeeper Benjamin Siegrist looks to be on the verge of an exit from the club after being permitted to travel for transfer exit talks.
The Swiss goalkeeper has been a bit part figure at the Bhoys since he arrived in 2022, making just two competitive appearances for the club in that time.
Joe Hart retained his place as the number one choice under Ange Postecoglou and Brendan Rodgers, while Bain was considered number two for much of that period, too.
Rodgers has overseen a revamp of the goalkeeping department in recent days with Kasper Schmeichel and Viljami Sinisalo both arriving to strengthen the position significantly.
There’s now no room for Siegrist even as part of the wider Celtic squad and it’s no surprise to hear the club have granted permission for him to leave.

The Daily Record reports that Siegrist is now in talks with Rapid Bucharest. Bhoys legend Neil Lennon took charge of the club earlier this summer.
It’s stated that Siegrist will now travel to Romania in a bid to finalise the deal which you would imagine won’t have a hitch given the intent of all parties.
Siegrist has had interest from within Scotland and around Europe throughout the summer but nothing has yet tempted him to exit Celtic Park.

There are a few players at Celtic who don’t seem to have much of a future under Brendan Rodgers and clearing them out this summer would be a positive for all.
Yuki Kobayashi and Liam Shaw are prime candidates to leave after a lack of progress in their development, while Gustaf Lagerbielke was close to a January Celtic exit.
James McCarthy is remarkably officially still on the books while the future of Mikey Johnston is still unknown after a spell out on loan last season.
Hyeokkyu Kwon could well end up heading out on another loan too after initially doing well with St Mirren last season before injury.
