Celtic FC manager Brendan Rodgers was seriously injured in an armed robbery at his Glasgow residence yesterday evening.
According to police reports, masked gunmen forced entry into Rodgers’ home around 9:45 pm, demanding valuables. Rodgers, 51, attempted to resist, but was shot in the leg.
Emergency services rushed Rodgers to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where he underwent surgery. His condition is stable but critical.
Police Scotland Statement:
“We are treating this incident as attempted murder. Our investigation is ongoing, and we urge anyone with information to come forward.”
Celtic FC Response:
“We are shocked and deeply concerned about Brendan’s well-being. Our thoughts are with him and his family.”
Assistant Managerwill take charge of the team temporarily.
