BREAKING: Leicester City FC’s Boubakary Soumaré, Known Professionally as Mavidi, Involved in Ghastly Motor Accident
Leicester, England – Leicester City FC midfielder, Boubakary Soumaré, known professionally as Mavidi, was involved in a serious car accident on the M1 near Leicester in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
According to eyewitnesses, Mavidi’s vehicle collided with a barrier, leaving the car severely damaged.
Leicestershire Police confirmed that Mavidi, 28, was rushed to Leicester Royal Infirmary with non-life-threatening injuries.
“Leicester City FC is deeply concerned about Mavidi’s well-being and wishes him a speedy recovery,” the club said in a statement.
Mavidi’s agent added, “Mavidi’s family appreciates the support and asks for privacy during this difficult time.”
The French midfielder has been a key player for Leicester City, making 20 appearances this season.
