The midfielder is prepared to listen to offers have admitting defeat in his attempts to stay at Sevilla
Rangers target Joan Jordan has accepted that his future lies away from La Liga giants Sevilla.
Gers are keen to sign the 30-year-old midfielder on a season-long loan deal but are said to have had an initial offer rejected due to the proposed wage structure. However, the Spanish giants are willing to do business this summer with sports director Victor Orta making it clear that the out-of-favour Catalan star doesn’t figure as part of Sevilla’s plans moving forward.
It’s believed that Jordan cut short his summer holiday in a desperate attempt to win over manager García Pimienta. But according to Que! Deportes, the former Eibar and Espanyol man has “come to his senses” and is prepared to listen to offers.
Jordan is claimed to be on an eye-watering salary of around £3.35million per year which is well beyond the Ibrox club’s budget. However, Sevilla could now be willing to cover a higher proportion of his salary if Rangers come back to the table with improved terms.
Philippe Clement could face competition for his signature, though, with Greek giants Olympiakos also holding an interest in two-time Europa League winner.
