The Swedish international is the latest new face in the building at Celtic Park

Celtic are in the midst of a packed transfer window after Sweden international Benjamin Nygren became the third signing of the summer.

The Nordsjælland forward was snapped up for a bargain £1.5million after having just has six months – and his official unveiling followed deals for Kieran Tierney and Ross Doohan with things picked up at Parkhead.

Fulham B standout Callum Osmand is also set to move to Glasgow, having earned acclaim during his displays with the Cottagers’ youth set-up.

Speaking last season to the Jersey Evening Post, the frontman conceded he wanted to make a first-team breakthrough: “I think my main goal for the new year would be to get some exposure to men’s football

“Obviously that opportunity can come in many different forms. But it’s about making the next step, pushing on, and getting myself involved in men’s football.”

With one prospect coming in, another is set to leave the club with Matthew Anderson set to join KV Kortrjik in the Belgian second tier.

Left-back Anderson has spent the last two years out on loan at Admira Wacker in Austria and the Celtic Way report that the youngster is keen on regular first-team football away from Glasgow’s east end.

Speaking to Record Sport, Stephen McManus, who coached Anderson with the Hoops B-team, predicted a massive future ahead for the youngster.

He said: “Matthew outgrew the B team two years ago. That’s why he’s not played for the B team. That’s why the next stage of his development was to go out and loan.

“He’s a terrific boy, terrific worker from a terrific family, and he’ll be a top player.”

While Celtic are set to receive a “minimal” fee, a huge sell-on fee has been placed in the deal in case his career skyrockets away from the club.
