GOOD NEWS;Ferguson doesn’t want to see Rangers player ever selected again
Rangers endured a miserable 2025-26 season and already plans are afoot for the next campaign.
The 2-2 draw with Hibernian last Saturday (23 May) was a fitting way to bring down the curtain on the season.
It was an action-packed game at Easter Road, one that was dominated by a contentious VAR call, and one that ultimately ended in disappointment for the Gers.
And a player not involved in that game may have already played his final game for the Ibrox side.
Barry Ferguson’s Nedim Bajrami decision surprises his brother
Bajrami was hauled off at half-time of Rangers’ 4-0 win over Aberdeen on 11 May, with Hamza Igamane’s introduction transforming the match.
Barry Ferguson was seen raging at Bajrami due to his lack of influence on proceedings, and he was not used in the final two games of the season.
That has led to reports that Bajrami could be on his way out of Ibrox, with a move to Serie A or the Bundesliga possible.
And in the view of Derek Ferguson, the brother of former caretaker boss Barry Ferguson, Rangers should do all they can to cash in this summer.
“I’m quite surprised that Barry and his staff gave him more chances,” he exclusively told Ibrox News. “If it was me he wouldn’t have been wearing a Rangers jersey again after the Aberdeen match.
“I know that sounds harsh, but he’s not one I’d be keeping. If the club can get their money back this summer, they should be doing that.”
Bajrami surely heading for Rangers exit
Bajrami made 40 appearances for Rangers this season, but all he had to show for it was five goals and an assist.
The Albanian joined from Sassuolo in a £3.4million deal last summer, and Rangers now have their work cut out in recouping that fee.
