CONFIRMED EXIT;Promise David ready to quit as Leeds United prepare brand new striker transfer

Daniel Farke will be wasting no time when the transfer window opens, with plenty of work to be done to prepare Leeds United for Premier League football.

The German built a strong squad this season, but the top flight is unforgiving and additions will certainly be needed to increase the standards in the side.

One area that needs focus is the final third, with Joel Piroe carrying a heavy load with Mateo Joseph and Patrick Bamford struggling behind him.

However, having failed to break the 20-goal barrier this season, it does raise concerns that the striker won’t be able to adapt to life in the Premier League with ease.

Thankfully, Promise David could be the answer to those concerns.

David ready to seal Leeds United transfer

Piroe may have ended the season with the Championship’s golden boot, but Farke will know that he needs full confidence in his attacking options.

David, of Union Saint-Gilloise, could be the man to solve the issues for Farke, though.

According to Sky Sports Switzerland (19 May), Leeds are “very interested” in the potential signing of David in the upcoming transfer window.

The report states that the striker has made it clear that he is keen to consider options from abroad, particularly England, despite his current side trying to get a contract extension signed, tying him down longer than the current 2026 expiry.

The 23-year-old could be available for a fee of at least £16.8million this summer, with Brighton also named as a possible destination, as the interest spins his head.

David could be solid addition for Leeds

Leeds must be shrewd in their business this summer, and with strikers always hot property, this could be an addition that suits the Elland Road outfit.
