Nottingham Forest back in mix to sign Fulham player – He’s already revealed approach from Nuno’s side

Nottingham Forest and Marseille are eyeing a move for Fulham’s Andreas Pereira in the summer window.

That’s according to TNT Sports Brasil, and journalist Fred Caldeira covers the latest on the Reds and the Ligue 1 side.

Nottingham Forest and Marseille interest in the Fulham player isn’t new as they were linked last summer.

The 29-year-old spoke in November about offers made by Nottingham Forest and the French club.

“From outside (England), there was (an offer) from Marseille, we talked, and unfortunately it didn’t work out,” he said.

“In the last days (of the transfer window) there was also (an offer) Nottingham Forest. Those were the clubs that came closest to signing me, but there was a lot of interest.

Caldeira reports Fulham rejected proposals from these two clubs and requested €35m to negotiate the midfielder’s transfer. He adds the Brazil international is still a target for both Nuno Espírito Santo’s side and Marseille.

Roberto De Zerbi admires Pereira and has already sent a message to try and convince him to join Marseille.

It’s difficult for Nottingham Forest to qualify for the Champions League while Fulham can’t offer European football next season. This can give Marseille, who have qualified for the Champions League, an edge over the Reds in the transfer race.

The former Manchester United man has less than 14 months left on his contract, with an option for another year. Pereira and Fulham will have to make a decision in the coming weeks if receive offers from Nottingham Forest, Marseille or another club.
