Leeds United have confirmed the appointment of a new director and the departure of former chief executive Angus Kinnear, sources have told Football Insider.

As per Companies House submissions on Friday (9 May), it has been revealed Kinnear has seen his role as a director officially terminated at Elland Road.

The 47-year-old has agreed to join Everton as chief executive, having spent eight years at Leeds.

Meanwhile, Robbie Evans has been appointed as a director as the Yorkshire giants prepare for their return to the Premier League.

Evans was recently promoted to managing director at Elland Road after joining the club as chief strategy officer in 2023.

Leeds’ board now comprises chairman Paraag Marathe, Peter Lowy, Eugene Schneur, Andrew Schwartzberg and Evans.

Leeds transfer budget revealed after stunning twist

Majority owner 49ers Enterprises is looking to take Leeds to the next step after securing their return to the Premier League.

Daniel Farke’s side claimed the Championship title to ensure the club’s latest spell outside the top flight would only last two seasons.

Football Insider revealed on 7 May Leeds will have a £150million budget in the upcoming summer transfer window as they look to cement their place in the Premier League.

The Whites are determined to avoid the same fate as last season’s promoted sides after Ipswich Town, Leicester City and Southampton have all been relegated.

Speaking to the BBC on 4 May, Marathe discussed the club’s ambitions following their title success.

He said: “Together we are going to build the best squad we can, with every penny we are allowed to spend to be competitive in the Premier League.”

The American also gave his backing to Farke after confirming he will lead Leeds into next season following speculation about his future.
