SHOCKING NEWS;West Ham announce four players to leave the club this summer
May 9, 2025
Aaron Cresswell, Łukasz Fabiański, Vladimír Coufal and Danny Ings will leave West Ham when their contracts expire this summer, the club confirmed on Friday via an online statement.
The quartet all featured as West Ham were crowned as UEFA Europa Conference League champions in 2022/23, and have made more than 800 combined appearances for the club’s first team.
Graham Potter commented that “Aaron, Łukasz, Vladimír and Danny have been a pleasure to work with in my time here so far – all brilliant professionals on and off the pitch, with fantastic experience in the Premier League, and clearly loved and admired by their teammates and everyone here at the club.”
35-year-old Cresswell currently holds the record for the longest continuous top-flight spell at the club during the Premier League era, having completed 11 seasons with the Hammers after signing from Ipswich Town in 2014.
Fabiański signed from Swansea City in 2018, and during his seven seasons in the English capital, he has made 215 appearances and was recognised as the Hammer of the Year in 2019.
Coufal, now 32, joined in 2020 and is nearing in on 180 appearances for the Hammers – and the Czech defender was named as the runner-up in the club’s Hammer of the Year contest during his first season at the club.
Former England international Ings, who signed for the club after leaving Aston Villa in January 2023, has made 69 appearances for the club and formed part of their UEFA Europa Conference League-winning squad that year.
“We still have three important matches to play this season, and I know that their focus will be 100% on helping the team in any way they can in those games, but we felt it was important to confirm this news now, out of respect for them and the service they have given to the club, and to allow our supporters to show their appreciation at our final home match of the season,” Potter explained.
