Nottingham Forest firmly in the race to sign ‘super fast’ forward likened to Mohamed Salah

Nottingham Forest will be looking to strengthen in multiple areas over the summer.

Chief among these is up top.

As good as Chris Wood has been this season, at 33 years of age, he can’t be relied on to start every game, especially with Forest likely to feature in European competition of some kind next term.

Moreover, with Manchester City interested in Morgan Gibbs-White and Serie A sides monitoring Callum Hudson-Odoi, the Reds will need to make signings to offset players they lose.

With that in mind, links have emerged between Nuno Espirito Santo’s side and a striker currently plying his trade in the Bundesliga.

Nottingham Forest want Mohamed Amoura from Wolfsburg

According to GiveMeSport, Mohamed Amoura is being monitored by those at the City Ground.

Currently on loan at Wolfsburg from Belgian Pro League side Union SG, the 24-year-old forward has notched 10 goals in 28 Bundesliga appearances this term.

Just as exciting for the Forest faithful, and as reported by TBR Football, Amoura has previously been likened to Mohamed Salah, with former Newcastle defender Philippe Albert also describing the Algerian as ‘super fast’ while working as a pundit in Belgium.

For these reasons, however, Forest aren’t the only club interested in Amoura, with multiple clubs around Europe also keeping tabs on the exciting attacker.

Away from Amoura, the Reds have been linked with numerous strikers, including multiple from the Premier League.

In recent days, reports have emerged revealing that Nottingham Forest want Evanilson from Bournemouth.

Forest’s interest in Brentford’s Yoane Wissa has also been long-standing, the club attempting to sign the striker in January but ultimately missing out.

While it now looks likely he’ll be moving to Manchester United, Wolves’ Matheus Cunha has also been linked with a move to the City Ground.
