Kelvin Wilson says £30m player is absolutely finished at Nottingham Forest

Kelvin Wilson says £30m player is absolutely finished at Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest have used their squad well this season, with the Reds sitting pretty in fourth place with just five games of the season remaining.

Although the Reds have enjoyed a settled starting eleven for most of the season, there have been times when the squad has needed to be used and unlike previous campaigns, Nuno Espirito Santo has managed to rotate well.

If Champions League football is secured at the City Ground for next season, changes will definitely be aplenty, with marquee signings likely to be lined up to come into the club.

One player Forest like is Bryan Mbeumo but if players like that are to be added, others might need to depart the club during the transfer window this summer.

Kelvin Wilson makes Ibrahim Sangare claim

Ibrahim Sangare signed for Forest from PSV in the summer of 2023, with the Reds using some of the funds from the sale of Brennan Johnson to land a defensive midfielder.

Things haven’t worked out for Sangare at Forest and injuries and a bout of malaria last season have hampered his chances of being a first-team regular in the Premier League.

Wilson isn’t convinced with Sangare and he believes that Espirito Santo isn’t entirely convinced about the Ivorian either.

He told the Forest Focus podcast: “Personally, his time is done at Forest, he won’t be here next year. He’s not settled. He’s not taken to being at Forest, whether that’s injuries or what, it’s just not happened for him at Forest.

Nuno sees what goes on in training, I’m not saying he’s got a bad attitude or anything but there’s got to be a reason why he’s not been playing. I think his time’s done and I don’t think he will feature much more to be honest.”
