Celtic in seventh heaven as Hoops dominate 2025 PFA Scotland Team of the Year
PFA Scotland have confirmed their Team of the Year for the 2024/25 season – and Celtic have dominated once again.
Each season, every Scottish Premiership player votes for the stars they think deserve spots in the XI.
The Bhoys are on course for another tremendous season with the Premier Sports Cup already in the bag and the Premiership title set to be sealed for the fourth consecutive year.
Celtic are also strong favourites to lift the Scottish Cup in May for the third season running, but must navigate their way past St Johnstone in the semi-finals this weekend.
So it’s no surprise to anyone that Scotland’s top-flight stars have voted seven Celtic players into the 2024/25 PFA Scotland Team of the Year.

Kasper Schmeichel rightfully takes his place between the sticks as the team’s goalkeeper, while Alistair Johnston and Cameron Carter-Vickers are in at right-back and centre-back respectively.
There’s no room for Greg Taylor at left-back, with Hearts man James Penrice winning that position.
It’s a 4-3-3 formation this year, with Celtic captain Callum McGregor and Reo Hatate in midfield alongside Rangers’ Nicolas Raskin.
It means Celtic’s record transfer Arne Engels misses out after his debut campaign in Scotland.
The XI’s front three consists of Celtic stars Nicolas Kuhn and Daizen Maeda, with Dundee United frontman Sam Dalby leading the attack.
Callum McGregor & Cameron Carter-Vickers earn more respect.
Despite Celtic sealing the Double last year in Brendan Rodgers’ first campaign back as Hoops boss, only four players made the 2024 XI.
Carter-Vickers and McGregor were in, as was centre-back Liam Scales and Celtic’s former No.1 goalkeeper Joe Hart.
In fact, Carter-Vickers and McGregor are an unstoppable duo when it comes to the PFA Scotland Team of the Year.
