Seamus Coleman admitted he could leave Everton this summer, with his contract one of many expiring on Merseyside.
The Irishman is a player who perhaps knows the club better than any other at Goodison.
And taking to social media, McNeil has shared a telling message over the 36-year-old with his contract expiring.
Everton posted an image of McNeil and Coleman from Finch Farm, which McNeil reposted to his Instagram story with the message: ‘Skip’ accompanied by a blue heart.
Moyes has praised Coleman’s leadership behind the scenes recently amid the right-back’s return from injury.
And that has to be a telling sign for the Friedkins as the club need to make a decision on Coleman’s future.
He may not be providing anything on the pitch, but his experience and leadership in that dressing room must be priceless.
