GOOD NEWS;Rasmus Kristensen has signed for Eintracht Frankfurt permanently from Leeds United

Leeds United have already confirmed a player sale before the summer window has even opened.

The Whites come into the final four games of the Championship season with promotion to the Premier League firmly in their grasp.

With Sheffield United throwing away a lead against Plymouth Argyle, Daniel Farke’s side sit top of the tree with a five-point buffer to the Blades.

If the LS11 club can maintain their position, it is bound to kickstart a busy transfer window at Elland Road with one deal already being agreed.

Leeds in emotionless message for Rasmus Kristensen

Kristensen signed for the Yorkshire club in the Premier League and made 26 appearances as relegation was confirmed in 2023.

The Denmark international departed before featuring in the second tier with a loan move to Roma not being made permanent last summer.

As a result, another temporary departure was utilised as the 27-year-old joined German outfit Eintracht Frankfurt, where he has gone on to play a key role.

The side placed third in the Bundesliga have now opted to make that deal permanent before the summer window opened on a deal until 2029.

In response to this, the Whites have released a statement which is very matter-of-fact and shows very little emotion.

On the Leeds United official website (16 April), the opening line of their statement reads: “Defender leaves the club.”

Despite going into slightly more detail, there is no message of thanks or well wishes to the Dane, summing up his spell with the Whites.

Leeds United kick start summer window already

It is fair to say that a number of new signings will be required in the summer to prepare Farke’s side for Premier League action next campaign.

As it stands, there are some areas of the squad which could be improved if the Elland Road club are to survive in the top tier.
