Leeds United appear to have found their Nick Hammond replacement as 44-year-old steps up
Leeds United are undergoing change both on and off the pitch this summer, with a couple of their key behind-the-scenes figures moving on.
Leeds United will undergo some drastic change to the playing squad this summer, whether the club goes on to earn promotion from the Championship or not.
Right now it’s looking like Daniel Farke’s side will get over the line. The Whites are back in 1st place of the Championship table after Leeds United beat Preston North End 2-1 in their last outing, leaving themselves five points ahead of Sheffield United in 3rd.
Next up, Leeds United play Oxford United away from home and a win here would put them one huge step towards securing promotion, with a game against Stoke City on Monday at Elland Road able to see the Whites promoted.

Everton are also planning big changes this summer and they’ve raided Leeds United for two of their behind-the-scenes gurus. Already, it’s been confirmed that CEO Angus Kinnear is leaving Leeds United to take up similar position at Everton this summer, and Nick Hammond is poised to follow.
Previous reports revealed that Everton wanted Leeds United football advisor Hammond after sealing a deal for Kinnear and an emerging report from The Athletic has confirmed that Hammond is ‘winding down his duties at Elland Road’. But Leeds United have just sold Ramus Kristensen to Eintracht Frankfurt and so someone at the club is overseeing transfers.
The Athletic write that ‘head of football operations, Adam Underwood, has led the club’s negotiations on this deal with Eintracht over the last few months’, suggesting that the 44-year-old has stepped up ahead of Hammond’s exit.
