Latest Nottingham Forest news as figures show how much Reds spent on agents’ fees in last two transfer windows

Newly-released figures show Nottingham Forest spent almost £13 million on agents’ fees in the last two transfer windows.

The latest set of intermediary and agents’ fees published by the Football Association show the Reds splashed out £12,991,664 for the period from February 2, 2024 to February 3, 2025. It is slightly less than the £13,063,455 spent by the club in the previous 12-month period (February 1, 2023 to February 1, 2024).

The amount Forest dished out is considerably less than most of their Premier League rivals. Chelsea top the bill with more than £60m spent on agents’ fees in the past year.

The period concerned covers last summer’s transfer window and the most recent winter window. Last summer, the Reds made 11 signings as they prepared for their third season in the top-flight.

They brought in Eric da Silva Moreira, Elliot Anderson, Carlos Miguel, Nikola Milenkovic, Jota Silva, Ramon Sosa and Morato.

James Ward-Prowse joined on loan from West Ham but returned to his parent club in January, while Aston Villa loanee Alex Moreno remains part of Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad. Marko Stamenic and David Carmo also put pen to paper but were immediately loaned out.

The winter window, meanwhile, saw Forest do very little business. Goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey penned a short-term deal, having been released in the summer, while Tyler Bindon signed but returned to Reading on loan for the remainder of the campaign.

Releasing the figures, the FA state: “Payments included in these figures may have been made in relation to transactions that were entered into before the first date of this reporting period.

“As a result, the total payment figure per club will not necessarily relate directly to those transactions listed involving a Football Agent registered in England for the same period.
