Nottingham Forest Academy is delighted to announce that Frank Djamna has extended his stay on Trentside, signing a professional contract until June 2027.
Having signed as a scholar last summer, Djamna was initially named in the U18 squad and has been a regular for Tom Mallinson’s side this campaign.
His performances have earned him minutes with the B Team, featuring in PL 2 as well as the National League Cup and the Premier League International Cup. In the latter competition, Djamna came on as a second half substitute in the win against FC Nordsjælland, helping Warren Joyce’s side into the semi-finals which will be held at The City Ground against Athletic Bilbao on Tuesday, April 15.
He now signs his first professional contract with the Club.
Chris McGuane, Head of Academy, said: “Frank has made an impact since he joined the Club and we are delighted he has signed his first professional contract. Our recruitment team can take huge credit for identifying Frank playing local football in Nottingham. With no prior Academy experience, his story is an inspiring one for young players to not stop believing they can be noticed.
Frank has developed well since joining our full-time programme as has been exposed to a variety of fixtures across our games programme playing in a number of positions. Our setup here, with excellent coaching and player support means he is improving all the time, and we look forward to seeing how he continues to develop.”
