DEAL DONE:Jack Butland announced Terminating his Contract By the End of Season due to….

Rangers are preparing to face Bilbao in the next round of the Europa League, and Barry Ferguson will have some tough decisions to make.

Rangers have nothing left to play for domestically, though they will be eager to end the season with some silverware via the Europa League.

Despite failing to do so in the league, the Light Blues have given an excellent account of themselves in the Europa League, though they will need to be at their best to overcome the next hurdle in the form of Bilbao.

In order to do that, Ferguson will have to be rather meticulous with his decision-making, and it could lead to some unrest among the Ibrox camp.

Rangers need to be at their best to beat Bilbao

Rangers will have a huge task at hand to progress past Bilbao, and a failure to do so would see the season fizzle out to nothing.

However, as always with these competitions, several players will miss out on the opportunity to impress, and Kris Boyd expects those who will miss out to be disappointed.

Speaking via Sky Sports News (9 April, 10:29am), he said: “Ferguson has a lot of decisions to make. I’d imagine he’d have his team in his mind already, and there’ll be a few disappointed players there today because he’s said he’s going to make changes.

And if he doesn’t make those changes, the others will be asking ‘well, what’s the point in saying it?’. Souttar and Diomande have to come out. Then Barry needs to decide on Jack Butland. He’s made far too many mistakes.”

Jack Butland could very well be one of those to miss out from the starting 11 after another horror display in Rangers’ latest defeat, and given the fact that confidence starts from the back, he may not be able to provide that.
