Martin Keown ‘certain’ David Moyes will achieve one big goal while he’s Everton manager

Everton fans cannot wait for next season, after David Moyes came in and breathed new life into the club.

Everton have pulled well clear of the relegation zone in recent weeks, with David Moyes working his magic in his second spell at Goodison Park.

The squad was beleaguered under Sean Dyche, and the club was hurtling towards the relegation zone.

But things have changed dramatically, and Everton now find themselves sat a whopping 15 points clear of the drop.

Everton will soon seal their safety officially.

But fans are already thinking ahead to next season – and pundit Martin Keown has seen enough so far to make a big prediction about the club under Moyes.

Martin Keown says Everton are set for ‘the promised land’ under David Moyes

Moyes himself as admitted he never expected to do so well after succeeding Dyche.

He, of course, backed himself to turn things around. Otherwise he would never had taken the job.

But Moyes – who said he’s thinking of visiting Bramley-Moore Dock soon – also said he did fear the idea of taking Everton into the Championship.

But those fears were very quickly swatted away, and for Martin Keown, exciting times now lie ahead of Everton.

Speaking ahead of the game with Arsenal yesterday, Keown said on TNT Sports: “You can see how classy he is, there’s a renewed calmness about him. He’s come into this very difficult situation and turned it around overnight.

“It’s been a brilliant turnaround by him. Sean Dyche, it was getting difficult for me and I think he stepped out of the way just at the right time. The players have been really receptive to the changes.

“This guy is even better now than he’s ever been before.
