Leicester Youngsters quits football to pursue fashion business

It’s that time of the season as the first international break of 2025 is upon us and several Leicester City stars are expected to be in action.

Several first-team stars will jet around the globe to represent their nations in various World Cup qualifiers and friendlies.

With Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side in the bottom three of the Premier League, a week away from the action will come as a welcome break despite an encouraging performance in the defeat against Chelsea.

James Justin, a scapegoat for Leicester fans, impressed for the Foxes, as did fellow full-back option Luke Thomas, who Van Nistelrooy singled out for his excellent display.

Neither are likely to be included in the England squad but for one other star who would’ve banked on being in the squad, he has also been told that he won’t be involved with his country.

Denmark boss confirms Leicester star won’t be in international squad

Denmark is a nation that is well-populated within the Leicester squad.

Mads Hermansen, Jannik Vestergaard and Victor Kristiansen all play for the European nation that reached the semi finals of Euro 2020 and quarter finals of Euro 2024.

Hermansen is yet to make his senior debut for Denmark and plays second fiddle to former Leicester shot-stopper Kasper Schmeichel.

Vestergaard and Kristiansen are more regular features in the XI, but for Kristiansen, he has been given some disappointing news.

National team coach Brian Riemer told Tipsbladet that he had spoken to the left-back about the situation.

He said: “It was a bad conversation for me. I think he deserves more. It’s purely a tactical choice in relation to what I want. I don’t want five fullbacks, and tactically the profiles fit into what I want.

“He took it very professionally and like a man. Of course he didn’t agree, but he understood the explanation well.”
