SO SAD;Rangers star’s agent now confirms he will not play at Ibrox next season because…

The agent of one of Rangers’ key players has now said his client will play in a ‘big 5′ European league next season in a new update that will no doubt concern the club’s fanbase.

Ferguson praises Rangers players after Fenerbahçe win

Amid what has been a turbulent season at Ibrox, Rangers pulled off what was arguably their best result of the campaign on Thursday as they beat José Mourinho’s Fenerbahçe 3-1 in the first leg of their Europa League last-16 meeting.

Vaclav Cerny, on loan with the Gers from Wolfsburg, scored twice on the night, while Cyriel Dessers got the other goal for Barry Ferguson’s side. Dessers also had two goals disallowed for tight offside calls on an eventful evening for the Scottish side in Istanbul as they took a crucial advantage into the second leg.

Speaking after the game, Ferguson, who was appointed as Rangers’ interim manager following the sacking of Philippe Clement last month, praised his team’s togetherness.

“I thought to a man tonight, even the guys that came off the bench, you have to give them credit,” he said. “Even the boys on the bench kept supporting. It is important to me there is a real togetherness, and they certainly showed that on the pitch tonight.”

Cerny, meanwhile, was equally as delighted with the showing he and his teammates put on: “It was a massive win, but we know we are only halfway there. It was the perfect opening game for us in the tie and I think we deserved to win the game and now we want to close it next week.”

Cerny to return to Germany at the end of the season

Sadly for Rangers and their fans, it appears as if they may not have Cerny, who has scored 17 goals in all competitions this season, at Ibrox for too much longer.
