Jack Harrison is leaving Everton’ – ‘He’s not good enough to be a Premier League regular’
Everton are working to identify a replacement for Jack Harrison as they have no plans to extend his stay beyond the end of the season.
That is according to former Man United and West Ham scout Mick Brown, who worked closely with David Moyes at the London Stadium, as he exclusively told Football Insider that the boss does not see Harrison as part of his plans.
The 28-year-old has featured less prominently since Sean Dyche’s departure, with Jesper Lindstrom chosen to play a more regular role in the starting XI.
However, Brown told Football Insider last month that Everton want to sign the next Iliman Ndiaye as Moyes plans to add more flair and creativity to his side.
This comes after Football Insider revealed on 28 February that Everton will not sign Harrison permanently after his successive loan seasons at Goodison Park.
Instead, the winger is expected to head back to Leeds United, who are on course to achieve promotion back to the Premier League this season.
Daniel Farke will then make a decision about whether he will be integrated back into their squad or if he will be moved on again come the summer.
Jack Harrison and Jesper Lindstrom to be replaced at Everton
Brown told Football Insider on 22 February that Everton plan to sign a new winger in place of Lindstrom as Moyes is set to make a decision about his permanent move from Napoli.
Now, the former scout who has a wealth of experience in top-level player recruitment after over a decade at Man United during their most successful period, has insisted that Harrison is also expected to leave and signing a winger will become Moyes’ top priority.
“I don’t believe Everton are planning to keep him at the club,” he told Football Insider.
